Top terrace No1 French France.

Top terrace at No1 French France.

We are lucky enough to have 3 terraces of outdoor space at No1 French France……………….

This is what the top terrace looked like when we bought the house two years ago………..

You can see it was a big job…………………………………

Not helped by the fact that to get to the top terrace, you had to go through the house, and up two sets of stone steps.

Our gorgeous French Builder, Joseph and I sat down…………………..and I drew him a plan……………

It’s taken quite a while…………as it was such a big job……………….

And you all know about the Olive tree…………………………………..

He built us some steps in the wall and a gorgeous gate…………………………

He laid foundations…………..and built and painted our shed………………

And popped on a gorgeous tin roof……………………………….

Then to mark out the ground…………………………….

And purchase a few plants……………………….

Lavender……………………………………..

And white roses…………………………………………

Yes, well maybe it was more than a few plants………………….

Maybe plants are a weakness of mine…………………………

When we visited in August, he had nearly finished………………

It took my breath away……………………………..

And made me cry happy tears…………………………………

We bought this metal bed and planted white roses…………………

I have a bed of roses………………………..!!!!

You will be able to spot the “Helen” touches……………….

The peg rail………………….

And the vintage shutters on the shed……………………………

The wheelbarrow and galvanised planters…………………………..

Joseph planted a formal box parterre………………….

All we need now are some obelisks and a gorgeous seat……………

So we can sit and look out over the valley………………..

Thank you Joseph……………you are AMAZING…………….

See…………Dreams really do come true………………………………
