Oh Lordy!
The seagrass carpet in the living room at No1 French France………..
(Which we popped down as a temporary measure) 5 years ago, has been slowly growing mould.
Not just a bit of mould………….
Lots and lots of it, and it was becoming a bit of a health hazard.
We decided to bite the bullet and ask Joseph to put down traventine tiles for us
And as we were going to be making a bit of a mess with the tiles……………
I asked Joseph to re-new the crepe on the walls, as it was also growing black mould too.
Crepe is a lime render that lets the walls of old property breath.
Joseph says you don’t paint it, but depending on the sand used, you can get different shades of cream.
So Joseph our gorgeous French builder has been cracking on with the job………..
Oh Lordy!
Turns out that when Joseph started on the walls……..
Cement had been used in the render, which explains all the mould!
It’s all had to come off…………….
Lordy!
But he did uncover the gorgeousness of this lovely brickwork in the fireplace.
Always a silver lining in every cloud………
Now it’s all off, it’s time to make No1 beautiful again……………
Thank you Joseph.
Watch this space…………………..
